06 / GOOD QUESTIONS

LET’S GET
INTO IT.

What university leaders, faculty, and innovation teams should know.

Is the startup program really free for universities?

Yes. Unicelerator’s startup programs are offered free to partner universities. There is no university program fee. We agree the scope and delivery plan together, including the campus coordination, facilities, and staff time your institution will contribute.

What does a university receive?

A structured startup learning journey, practical activities and venture milestones, and a framework for guiding students from problem discovery to a prototype and pitch. The format, delivery support, and faculty roles are agreed for each campus.

Why make it free?

A university should be able to help its students start building without a program fee standing in the way. Unicelerator is designed to make startup education more accessible and connect it to the talent and ideas already on campus.

Do we need an incubator or an existing startup course?

No. A program can start with a department, a student club, a cross-campus cohort, or an existing innovation center. We work with your starting point and the people available to support it.

Who owns student ideas? Is funding guaranteed?

Joining a startup program is not an investment or equity agreement. Intellectual property follows applicable university policies and any separate agreements. Funding, accelerator admission, and commercial success are not guaranteed.

How do we bring Unicelerator to our campus?

Tell us about your institution, the students you want to serve, and what you want to build. We use that information to discuss fit, shape a program, agree responsibilities, and plan a launch.
